The Technology of the CNC machining centre

In 2014 the TMW, a.s. Company purchased a new CNC machining centre FEELER VMP-40A, on which it provides, both for its customers and for its own production, high-precision machining with a linear guide. The exceptional design of the machine combined with its powerful servo drives enables achieving a rapid traverse of up to 48 m/min.

The centre has sufficient capacity for machining metal parts from the smallest size to parts of up to 800 kg. The machine’s parameters and its wide range of cutting tools enable the machining of steel of different qualities, including stainless steel, aluminium and copper alloys and other materials.

Basic machining parameters

• feed rate in the X axis (bench) 1020 mm
• feed rate in the Y axis (carriage) 520 mm
• feed rate in the Z axis (headstock) 635 mm
• the dimensions of the bench 1150 x 520 mm
• spindle nose distance
• a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm
